A Must Read Book

I stumbled upon this book sometime ago and since then, I have made it my purpose that in my own little way, I would share this to other people. I have to forewarn them about the evils of Communism, particularly the Communist Party of the Philippines, its allies and front organizations.
The book, To Suffer Thy Comrades by Robert Francis Garcia, is an eye-opener to readers about the violence and the human atrocities inflicted by the CPP against their own comrades and innocent, hapless civilians. The first-hand account of the survivors of the so-called “ purges” is both appalling and atrocious. You could only think of how deceitful and two-faced the CPP/NDF/NPA really is.

This is a must-read book…
for democratic and freedom loving FILIPINOS!

150 NPAs killed a Barangay Kagawad in Compostela Valley

More than a hundred armed members of the New People’s Army (NPA), clad in military uniforms attacked and ransacked two banana plantations in Compostella Valley in broad daylight last November 12, 2007. A Barangay Kagawad was mercilessly killed by the terrorists who also carted away a cache of firearms before fleeing towards the direction of Nabuk River. The Provincial Police Office of Compostella Valley immediately conducted hot pursuit operation against the communist armed group.

Based on police reports, at least 150 members of the NPA simultaneously attacked the plantations of the Compostela Plantation Incorporated, a subsidiary of the Sumitomo Fruits Incorporated, and the Banana Plantation of Dizon Farms at about 12:00 ‘noon. The group was led by one Africia “ Kumander Lalayo”, Alvarez Rosete and a certain Alia Jason of the NPA’s Front Committee 20. The attackers came on board four Isuzu Forward Trucks before attacking and disarming the guards of the Plantation located at Purok 6, Sitio Pilar, Brgy Mangayon, Compostela. They carted away Five 12 gauge shotguns, four cal 38 revolvers and six handheld radios.

The same group then proceeded to the banana plantation of Dizon Farms in Barangay Babag in Monkayo where they seized two Baby Armalites, five carbine rifles and one handheld radio. They also commandeered two motorcycles from the said plantation and shot dead a certain Dodong Juarez.

Residents in the area condemned the attack and regarded the same as an act of cowardice and a pure form of terrorism. “They keep on victimizing us in the countryside who are contributing to the economic development in the area…”, a resident stressed during an interview. The residents of the community vowed to help the PNP in monitoring the movements of the NPA in order to attain peace and development thereat.

The NPA attack should be condemned by all peace-loving Filipinos as it clearly demonstrates the bankruptcy of the communist ideology and their total disregard for the welfare of the very people they claim to fight for. The Banana Plantations they attacked provide employment to the residents in the area. The PNP/AFP, along with the National Government should be determined more than ever to break the back of the communist insurgency that prevents the nation from attaining lasting peace and economic progress.

PNP turns to court as final arbiter

Let the Court decide

The Philippine National Police has taken this stance in response to claims by AYALA LAND Inc. (ALI) that the Glorietta 2 blast on Oct 19 that killed 11 people and injured more than a hundred was not a gas explosion.

Police Director GEARY BARIAS of the NCRPO, yesterday said that the courts would be the final arbiter of what really happened at the Glorietta Malll in Makati and of who should be held accountable.

ALI, owner of Glorietta, rebutted on Sunday the theory that the buildup of methane gas and diesel fumes triggered the blast, citing the findings of its own foreign consultants that contradicted those of the police.

The Police earlier said all the evidence pointed to the gas explosion theory, a finding which was corroborated by the Australian Federal Police, which conducted a parallel investigation.

By law, the PNP is the body that initiates and concludes inquiries into such events. “ Our investigation is official… it cannot be Ayala’s investigation. Somebody has to be accountable for the deaths of the 11 people. They will either be terrorists or other personalities,” Barias said.

NPAs, tore the Philippine Flag...

PNP Chief Oscar Calderon assailed the NPA's disrespect to our country when they tore the Philippine Flag and ransacked the supply room of Dangcayan Police Station in Bukidnon province last June 25, 2007. The communists carted away five M-16 rifles and other personal belongings of PNP personnel who were outnumbered. "Such act was totally disrespectful and an outright attack against the whole Filipino People especially against the memories of our heroes who shed blood to make this country free," he said.

Calderon also lauded the audacity shown by a guard of a nearby bank who shot and wounded one of the marauding NPA. The incident also manifested the support from the PNP's force multipliers and the People's brewing disgust against the communist NPA's, who turned into extortionists and plain murderers.

It's high time that we show our support to the PNP in its campaign against criminality and terrorism. We should provide them with informations which could be of great tactical and strategic value to win the war against lawlessness and terrorism! Mabuhay ka Gen Calderon!

Killings under GMA mere blood speck- Cardinal

Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales yesterday(March 27, 2007)dismissed the extra-judicial executions and other human rights abuses that have occurred and continue unabated during Mrs. Arroyo's six year presidency, saying the number of those journalists, activists, leftists, lawyers and even priests and protestant Bishops, is a mere speck of blood that flowed, compared to the number of political murders and human rights violations committed during the term of President Marcos.

The Cardinal who did not appear to be bothered by the political killings, disappearances, torture and other alleged human rights abuses under the Arroyo Regime, echoed the Malacanang and AFP's line, saying it is not just the military that has engaged in these political murders, stressing that the communists rebels are deeply involved in these political killings.

"Sorry for saying this but even our (rebel) brothers are involved in the killings. But I think what we should do now is to do away with the sin and killings and that all will commit to stop the killings and I think we would all be at peace," the Cardinal insisted.

Leftist activists should now reflect in the statement of the good Cardinal. They should now open their eyes to the truth that the NPA's purged its own ranks in the 80's, 90's and now under the Oplan Bush fire, executed loyal followers who were merely suspected as military spies. Who knows, they or their loved ones would be the NPA's next target for execution based on mere suspiscion and put the blame to the military?

PNP assailed the NPA for recruiting kids

Police officials assailed the New Peoples Army for its admitted recruitment of minors as combatants and for the killing of civilians, policemen and destruction of properties of businessmen who refuse to pay revolutionary taxes. National Police Chief, Director General Oscar Calderon said the Communist Party of the Philippines' armed wing has not stopped recruiting minors and putting them at the front line of their guerilla warfare.

The statement came after Army soldiers captured five teenagers during an encounter with communists rebels in Sitio Kanunay, Barangay Liperian in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The young NPA recruits were identified as Renan Fernando, 16; Ernie Alonzo, 18, Jean Alonzo, 15; Jay-ar Rafael, 19; and Marvel Gomez, 17; all supposed members of the Front Committee of the Communists' Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee.

Calderon said the NPA's practice of recruiting minors to join their war and extortion activities is a crime against humanity and is in violation of the United Nations charter on the rights of children.

"These children should be pursuing their education in schools so that they can alleviate their families from poverty. Instead, the CPP-NPA, with their blatant disrespect for human rights, had brainwashed them to leave their schools and forced to join their banditry, on the frontline of their wars and extortion activities, " the PNP Chief said.

The statement of the PNP Chief reflects the real score in the continous manipulation of the NPA of our country's HOPE for the future, the Filipino youth, as Child Warriors. Shame on them, these pseudo-nationalists can no longer convince the intellectuals and the educated to join their senseless cause that is why they recruit children.

Who are the real human rights violators now? KARAPATAN should also denounce this act of the NPA! Children should be cared, well fed, be educated, be loved... and should never be exposed to hazardous occupations. These rights are guaranteed by our government and International Laws which, sad to say, the NPA ignores. Wake up my brothers!

NPA OWNS KILLING OF CIVILIANS IN NEGROS ORIENTAL

The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the ambush-slay of seven civilians including a village chieftain and wounding of five others last March 9 in La Libertad town in Negros Oriental province. Sun-Star Bacolod (www.sunstar.com.ph) reported Saturday evening that a certain KA JB Regalado, claiming to be a spokesman of the Leonardo Panaligan Command of the NPA, said Village chief Lydio Baylon was their target for alleged crimes he has committed against their group.

Early this month, the Leonardo Panaligan Command also claimed responsibility in the summary execution of three civilians identified as Rubio Deniega, Nelson Garde and Rudy Asuncion.

These killings clearly prove the ideological line of the communists which is to sow terror to pursue their objective. Yet they still have the gall to portray themselves as Human Rights Advocates and Army of the People??

KARAPATAN bloated their list of victims

Three more alleged victims of extra judicial killings listed by KARAPATAN turned up alive in Camp Crame yesterday( March 20, 2007 )before the members of the media. The three were Danilo Fajardo, Hilario Larry Faraon and Maritess De La Cruz. The three executed affidavits belying the claims of KARAPATAN and denouncing their inclusion in the list of alleged victims of summary execution.

Fajardo and Faraon numbered 650 and 652, respectively, in the list of 836 alleged victims of political killings submitted by KARAPATAN.

According to Task Force Usig head Geary Barias, the surfacing of Fajardo and Faraon bring to five the number of persons who were erroneously included in the list of slain activists.

According to analysts, KARAPATAN is deliberately padding the list including those victims of purging operation of the NPA to discredit the government and support their propaganda campaign.

DIGOS MASSACRE , PERPETRATED BY THE NPA's ROQUE MAGTANGGOL COMMAND

Innocent church-goers, children and peace loving people were mercilessly gunned down by blood-thirsty NPA members on June 25, 1989. This is now known as the DIGOS MASSACRE!

These are the photos taken on that barbaric massacre. This is the meaning of justice, democracy, love and peace for the NPA's. May GOD touch their hearts and conscience for what they did...

KATAPPAT disputes report of Committee to Protect Journalists-Asia Coordinator

An official of the NGO- Kapatiran ng Tagapangalaga ng Pampubliko at Pribadong Aria-arian at Tao (KATAPPAT), Fernado Galut, condemned the declaration of Robert Dietz, Asia Coordinator of the New York based- Committee to Protect Jornalists describing the Philippines, along with Afghanistan, as Asia's most dangerous place for journalists. "It was an illogical description considering that media personalities in the Philippines are freely moving around day or night.", remarked the NGO Official.

According to the report of Dietz, 55 journalists were killed worldwide in direct connection to their work in 2006 and another 30 deaths were being investigated to determine whether they also were linked to the journalist's work. He added that the numbert of journalists jailed worlwide also rose to 134 in 2006.

Notwithsatanding the record showed by Dietz, he has no right to tag the Philippines as one of the most dangerous places in Asia for journalists because he has no factual basis for that accusation. In this country, not one journalist is being imprisoned in line with his/her profession. Reporters can openly roam around the archipelago to interview people and cover the political, social, economic and security arenas without any restrictions.

While it is true that a number of journalists were slain in the Philippines, the government investigated all the cases which in most instances, led not only to the identification of the suspects but to their arrests. Notably, most cases were not connected to the newsmen's work but rather on personal reasons.Based on PNP official record for 2006, only two of the Ten cases involving journalists were work related. The remaining eight cases were due to personal grudges, robberies and estafa.

Galut said that Robert Dietz should visit the coutry and see for himself that the information he obtained from whatever source was bereft of truth and purely misleading. "He should come to the Philippines and personally observe the real situation. Absolutely, he will find out that his report was malicious and false."

BAYAN MUNA, PEDDLER OF LIES AND DECEIT!

BAYAN MUNA was again back-lashed by the founder of Inang Bayan Movement, LOUIE BALBAGO. Earlier, the leftists claimed that the two slain persons in SORSOGON were BAYAN MUNA members. However, BALBAGO found out that the victims were not actually connected with the militant organization and their cases were merely used by the activists to infuse their black propaganda campaign in the TRI-MEDIA to descredit the government.

BALBAGO narrated that he was apprised of the results of the investigations on the cases of RUBEN ERMINO and DEMETRIO IMPERIAL who were both killed on January 23, 2007 in SORSOGON.

Factual investigation disclosed that RUBEN ERMINO Y ERGINA, 50 years old, married, tricycle driver and a resident of Barangay TABI,Gubat, Sorsogon, was shot to death at around 12PM on January 23, 2007 by two (2) unidentified suspects with short firearms. The perpetrators were wearing helmet and black long sleeves on board a blue DT motorcycle with no plate number. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on various parts of his body causing his instantaneous death. Accordingly, the suspects fled towards the direction of Barangay Bentuco of same municipality. Another suspect who acted as the look-out, fled on foot towards Brgy. Hipanao. Six (6)empty shells of caliber 45 were found at the crime scene.

On the other hand, investigation on the case of DEMETRIO IMPERIAL Y MONTALBAN, 28 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Sogoy, Castilla, Sorsogon, revealed that at about 7PM of January 23, 2007, the victim was having dinner with his family inside their house when three (3) unidentified armed men forcibly entered their dwelling and shot him.The victim succumbed to his death due to multiple gunshot wounds.

During the background investigations conducted by probers, it was learned that RUBEN ERMINO was never in any way, connected with BAYAN MUNA. The information was affirmed by the victim's wife who even issued a certification attesting the veracity of it. Barangay Chairwoman Esperanza Espaldon conformed to the statement duly noted by the Municipal Mayor, Ho. Deogracias B. Ramos, Jr.

DEMETRIO IMPERIAL, the other victim, was confirmed to be a rebel returnee who served as an asset by the military unit operating in the area. He was instrumental in the successful military counter-insurgency operations in the provice of Sorsogon.

Meanwhile, FERNANDO GALUT of the KAPATIRAN NG TAGAPANGALAGA NG PAMPUBLIKO AT PRIBADONG ARI-ARIAN AT TAO (KATAPPAT), also berated the leftist BAYAN MUNA for its false claim that ERMINO and IMPERIAL were their members. "It is just another attempt to raise issues to descredit the government in the form of black propaganda especially on militant killings and to get the attention of the international community. The fact that IMPERIAL has been working as a military asset makes him vulnerable as a direct target of the local communist terrorists for liquidation. As to the case of ERMINO, it can be considered as an isolated case and maybe attributed to personal grudges.", GALUT concluded.

With this turn of events, LOUIE BALBAGO also dared BAYAN MUNA to stop issuing black propaganda and false accusations against the government beacause tyhe people are already fed-up with them." The Filipinos no longer believe in them and you can see that in their recent demonstrations. Communism will never gain ground in the Philippines!", added BALBAGO.

NPAs Using Children as human shields...

We are deeply saddened by the New People Army's blatant disregard to human rights and innocent lives. They are not merely engaged in brainwashing and training of child warriors, they even use children as shields in armed confrontations against government troopers.
According to the Manila Times news report last January 8, 2007; at least seven NPA rebels utilized children as human shields during an encounter with soldiers in the remote village of Languyan, Polilio, Quezon on December 30, 2006.

During the firefight, the soldiers stopped firing because they feared hitting the children. This, allowed rebels to escape. Such act manifests the NPA's wanton disregard for the children's rights.

Another incident depicting the CPP-NPA's true color? Sure, it really was. Human rights violators hiding under the cloak of disguise as protectors? What an irony indeed, as some media groups and journalists keep on barking to the PNP and AFP as human right violators...my GOD! These self proclaimed media crusaders are peddling the lies of the communists!!

Victims of New People's Army

We Filipinos, should strongly condemn the violence perpetrated by the New People's Army against hapless individuals, civilians and their former comrades just to advance their wicked objective to seize power.

Just recently, government forces digging up a shallow grave uncovered the skeletal remains of three former leftist rebels who were victims of a bloody communist purge in a remote village in the province of ABRA. The graves were dug-up at about 10:30 a.m. last January 28, 2007 at Sitio Nalutacan in Danglas town of the province.

Residents in the area who were already fed-up of the NPA/terrorist abuses led the authorities to the site where the remains were buried. The three were summarily executed sometime in November 1997 as part of bloody purging by the communist movement. One of the three remains were identified as that of a certain CHING or Gusing. Another NPA member, CARMELO GABAN, met a similar end and was on the same shallow gravesite.

We must all unite and condemn these senseless killings!!!
